"The Strays"

Probably the single most exciting adventure I've had to date!
In Oklahoma I was invited to take part in a real life round-up - yes, I nearly wet myself with excitiment...

After 3 hours on horseback searching the 6,000 acre pasture we finally found what we were looking for - 2 'strays' i.e. cattle that had escaped into the wrong farmers herd.
Once the action started I made myself scarce and went to the water hole to answer the call of nature. To my surprise, out of the bushes charged a third, unexpected stray - I had justified my existence (and maybe even earned my spurs)!

All that was left to do was to get them back to the corrall , "So, Is that the first time youve brought the cows home?", asked Kenny Bob Tapp...well, er, YES!!

These are the little critters...








..and this is the horse a rode, Budweiser, which put a whole new slant on the meaning of 'drink-driving'.
