Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Spectecular storms hit Amarillo a couple of days after I arrived and I was lucky to catch this wonderful (faintly double) rainbow as it arched over 6th Street.
Historic Route 66 follows this road through town, and the Golden Light Cafe is an iconic bar that is still popular with the locals.
So, on this occassion we find 'The Pot of Gold-en Light' at the end of the rainbow.
The Panhandle in general has had more storms this spring than it has for a few years. This inevitably gives rise to the potential for tornados- radio and TV broadcasts are frequently interupted by 'Tornado Warnings' (that no-one really takes much notice of). A tornado hasn't touched down in Amarillo itself for over 40 years, but it still gets mighty windy out here.
